Czech Songs in Texas

A celebratory gathering which featued authors Frances Barton and John K. Novak of their book signing and musical performances at Mama's at Sengelmann's Hall in Schulenburg, Texas, July 2021. The heart of the book is a collection of 61 songs, mainly polkas and waltzes, with Czech lyrics, English translations, music notation, and an essay analyzing each song. The folklorist and polka historian James P.
