HOW TO SUPPORT US
As a registered 501c3 nonprofit, PolkaWorks depends on the donations of generous supporters. Please consider making a contribution to help PolkaWorks preserve the heritage, cultural practices, and insights of these unique communities and stories. Together we can make the coolest documentaries!
VOLUNTEER — Join Us!
The generosity of volunteers greatly enhances our events and projects. The PolkaWorks volunteer team includes financial and legal professionals, educators, musicians, chefs and cooks, technicians, exhibit fabricators, print vendors, content producers, audio designers, film editors, development consultants and grant writers, event planners, film screeners, dance floor monitors, and most importantly – beer bottle washers!
Volunteer with us and sharpen or learn new skills while you work with a community of passionate people interested in the arts and education.
While PolkaWorks, an Austin, Texas nonprofit, is a small organization, there are numerous intriguing intern opportunities to explore. In particular, and after a Covid-19 hiatus, our organization is enthusiastically moving ahead to develop two documentary films simultaneously. Benefits to interns include:
- Become an active member of a creative team
- Receive real hands-on experience
- Enhance your resumé with a multicultural, educational project
- Network within the cultural arts community
- Acquire insights into developing an innovative project
- Receive recognition for your contributions
Special considerations are history, marketing, visual media, filmmaking, and nonprofit management students. We invite you to become part of our team and connect with communities!
